![]() Staying Alive: This is NOT a Commercial'Staying Alive: This is not a Commercial' looks at HIV and AIDS awareness Public Service Announcements (PSAs) produced over the years and from around the world. They include examples of PSAs that use messages based on fear, humour, safe sex, not having sex and through the voice of celebrities and "real" people. We asked people from all over the world what they thought of the PSAs, which ones might be banned in their country, the impact of fear-factor campaigns, and whether it is realistic to expect young people not to have sex. A range of celebrities, including Missy Elliott, The Hives, Sean Paul and Good Charlotte have also given their comments on topics including condom commercials, not having sex, and the responsibility they have as celebrities to spread the message of AIDS awareness. If you think you can do better, or if you've been inspired by all the ads shown in the programme, take part in the OneWorld & Staying Alive HIV/Aids PSA Competition.
