The trade organization for the U.S. oil and natural gas industry has just begun running a feel-good commercial that argues "America's future" lies in drilling out domestic reserves of oil and natural gas.

The American Petroleum Institute in its lengthy promotion of the need for yet more oil did not mention climate change or greenhouse gas emissions. "Together, we can secure America's future," goes the ad's tagline. Err... what about the rest of the world? Read the full Gristmill article.
