Since Dec. 2006, the ACUPCC network of college and universities has grown to 667 institutions, representing over 5.6 million students.  They are working together to create solutions that will help us all avoid dangerous climate disruption to the extent still possible.

These institutions are committed to publicly reporting their progress and nearly 500 greenhouse gas inventories, and over 220 climate action plans are now available at www.acupcc.org/reportingsystem.

Search the reporting system and see if your college has joined yet - if not, head over to www.acupcc.org and visit the "Take Action" section for resources on how to encourage your president to sign.

In total, when these institutions eliminate their net-GHG emissions, they will reduce annual emissions by 36.8 million tonnes per year. More importantly they will help educate the architects, engineers, business leaders, politicians, artists, school teachers, product designers, etc. of tomorrow on the carbon cycle, laws of thermodynamics, and the basics of natural and social science and equip them to create a climate neutral, health, just, and sustainable society.
