TRAINING DAY - Learning to Lobby: Effective Influencing and Advocacy at a Global Policy Level
Is your organisation struggling to make its voice heard in intergovernmental meetings? Do you need to understand how the UN decision-making process works? Do you know how to draft text amendments or generate an effective written submission to an international meeting?
Based on 25 years of experience of lobbying at intergovernmental meetings, Stakeholder Forum has designed a one-day training course that will provide you with all of the tools, the knowledge and the tricks-of-the-trade for ensuring that you and your organisation can more effectively lobby decision-makers at the international level.
The day will cover the core essentials for an effective lobbying strategy including:
- How to prepare for intergovernmental meetings
- How to lobby decision-makers
- How to work with the media
In addition, we will also have two alternative sessions dedicated to upcoming and ongoing intergovernmental meetings; the UNFCCC negotiations and the MDG + 10 Review Summit.
