The OneClimate Channel's groundbreaking live coverage of the COP15 Climate Talks allowed people around the world to interact with the leading players in Copenhagen. More than 2 million people made the most of the opportunity, tuning in over 4 million times during the summit and posting thousands of questions and comments on OneClimate and via twitter. The coverage was nominated for a Shorty Award and shortlisted for a prestigious OneWorld Media Award, where Channel 4's Jon Snow, had this to say:
"The Copenhagen summit was the one-world news event of 2009. Copenhagen Live turned a news story into a truly participative event through its compelling combination of original activist content, smart social media and an innovative distribution strategy, lifting it far above the operations of the large media organisations with their far greater resources."
